Love Defined: Embracing God's Vision for Lasting Love and Satisfying Relationships Reviews
Love Defined by Kristen Clark & Bethany Baird
I was quite excited for this book as a single woman. However, it was an incredible disappointment throughout. There are the occasionally good moments but much of it is superficial, artificial and insincere. I don’t particular like their position that kissing and hugging is equal to sexual immorality and on the same level of premarital sex. They also suggest that is not “feminine” for a woman to make the first move or show interest in a man. They ...more
It was refreshing to read a book filled with balance. So many Christian books have a “Do A and B, and you’ll find a godly man.” Love Defined strikes a beautiful harmony of shedding light on cultural lies we swallow, and yet not adding to what Christ actually commands in His word. This book was also unique in the fact that it was written by a single and married gal. Well written, easy to read and engaging. Throughout the book, both perspectives were shared. I enjoyed the fact that these ladies sh ...more
This book was absolutely the most honest and biblically based book I have ever read on this topic! Once I picked it up I didn’t want to put it down. This is one resource that I wish I had when I was in middle school! Had I read this book back then, I would have set myself up for much more God-honoring and satisfying teenage years and young adulthood. I got married right after I turned twenty and while I was blessed with an amazing Jesus loving husband, I know I could have served him better earli ...more

Their new book is absolutely amazing for young girls and adults. It discusses topics I am sure you all have wondered about like myself. What makes this book amazing is the fact that they do ...more
I'm so excited to have been a part of the launch team for this book! I got this book a few weeks early in exchange for a review.
First, the cover is gorgeous! It looks so beautiful on my shelf. But, onto the book. Kristen and Bethany were obviously very well educated on the subject and they did a great job explaining everything. This answered a lot of questions people are scared to ask. My favorite points where how they talked about why it's important to stay pure before marriage and how it benef ...more
As a single christian woman entering my mid-twenties, I am always looking and searching for guidance to help me define how to find true love and romance, but in a God-honoring way. Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird of Girl Defined Ministries, know singleness and relationships and how to define those topics by God's design.
In today's world of high percentages of divorces and Hollywood's lies that they show us in TV and movies it can make love and romance seem even more difficult for us as christia ...more
As a Christian, single woman this book came at the perfect time for me! I've been following Girl Defined for some time now and I respect their opinion so much! When I found out that they were writing a book about having a God honoring love life, I knew I had to jump in on that!
Whether you are married or single, a teenager or older adult, this book is good for any female who's ever had a crush, fallen in love, or had a broken heart.
As a whole, I didn't like this book very much. This made me sad because I was really looking forward to this book.
There were a few things I liked about it and a few chapters that I thought were spot on. I really liked what they said about how to know the guy you're with is "the one," and what red flags to look out for in a relationship. They also had a neat chapter with advice from married women in it.
However, there were several times that they were claiming to be stating God's way of doing roma ...more
