It Takes Two (Bridesmaids Behaving Badly #2) Reviews
It Takes Two is the second book in the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series. Like its predecessor, once again another bridesmaid will have a hot romance just before the wedding.
Wendy Liu and Noah Denning had known each other for a long time. Wendy and Noah's sister Jane, are best friends. As teenagers, both girls bonded after the passing of their fathers.
For Noah, losing his father forced him to grow up. He had to be there for his mother and his sister. He was there to protect them and to keep th ...more
It Takes Two by Jenny Holiday is the second delightful romance in her Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series. This one is a best friend’s sibling trope romance and again revolves around what happens with a group of women friends in the weeks leading up to a wedding.
Wendy Liu is happy for her best friend Jane, she really is – or at least she’s trying to be. Jane is marrying Cameron (they met in the first in the series One and Only), someone Wendy isn’t sure is suited to Jane. Wendy and Jane have been ...more
It Takes Two is a witty, sexy and wonderfully entertaining romantic comedy, and it’s a delightful second installment to Jenny Holiday’s phenomenal Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series.
Noah wasn’t just Wendy’s best friend’s big brother — he was also her friend and her family. When she developed a crush on him in her teens and he unknowingly broke her heart, their relationship was forever altered. Their friendly, competitive dynamic took on a sharper tone, and Wendy avoided him whenever possible. Yea ...more
This was such a sweet read!! I adore the best friend’s brother trope. This also had a bit of a second chance romance and enemies to lovers. I definitely recommend this book if you love rom-coms and wedding romances!!
Review to come!
Thanks to the publisher for generously providing me an ARC to review.
I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I had some mixed feelings about the first book in this series because I didn't love that one as much as I was expecting to. Even though I still enjoyed it. But I was extremely excited about this pairing and couldn't wait to dive into it.
IT TAKES TWO is about Wendy and Noah. They've known each other their whole lives and have always played an i ...more
The first book of the series was also the first book by Jenny Holiday that I read. Like the first one, I liked the setting, (Canada, but this time Las Vegas and New York too) the writing style and every little things that make a Jenny Holiday's book special.
Wendy is happy but sad that Jane is marrying Cameron. She's scared to lose her best friend or that their life is not going to be the same and because of it, she has lukewarm feelings about being part of the wedding. She will change her mind d ...more
This was such a fun read. It is the "sequel" to One and Only as part of the Bridesmaids Behaving Badly Series. It is not necessary to read the first book, but I would highly recommend it. Almost all the characters are first introduced there.
I really enjoyed how the romance developed over the course of a couple of months rather than a few days. Wendy and Noah have so many common interests and genuinely accept each other (eventually).
I flew through this book and can't wait to read the next book ...more
This is a romantic comedy that didn’t really work for me. I generally like Holiday’s writing style, find her books funny and engaging, and often exactly what I need. Unfortunately, this had several elements that didn’t work for me as a reader.
