# What I liked
First of all, I really liked the Characters. They were realistic for really smart and genius teenagers. (Not that I know any genius teenagers or kids but at least for me it felt realistic enough to take the characters seriously) There was no Mary Sue or Gary Stu. All of the characters had somehow their flaws. Everything in this novel was written in a very realistic way which I really liked. Because we can't forget that what happened in the book could also poss ...more

So, I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi.
Sure, I enjoyed reading Your One and Only by Adrianne FInlay and Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, but sci-fi in general is not my type of book? (Ugh what am I talking about please ignore my rambling.)
The cover is so beautiful! I love galaxy backgrounds <3 (My old Wattpad account username was galaxywifi. Apparently galaxy backgrounds and Wi-Fi were two of my favorite things back when I was in the fifth grade.)

(this is mostly a note to myself so I don't forget by the time I actually get around to buying/reading it)
Humans have trashed the Earth. Climate change has raised the oceans and drowned many cities. Humanity's last best hope is to choose a team of six teenagers to go on a mission to Jupiter's moon Europa to terraform it for a new home for humanity.
This book tells the story of the twenty-four kids who will be competing for the six spots. The book is told from two points of view.
Leo is an orphan from Rome who lost his parents and beloved younger sister when when a tsunami wave hit Rome. As the story ...more
I had a hard time putting it down when I picked it up, and I didn't have much time to get this read, but I sped through it easily with the way the story flowed and kept me hanging on each event to know what would turn out from all the different twists and turns the story took. I'm glad this will have to be a series, because the only way I could have seen it ending in one book with the time things were taking was if the mission didn't even leave Earth. Well, they do, and so now we have to find ou ...more
So the description on this book made me very hesitant to pick it up and read. However, I am soooooo happy that I did. While I fully admit there were chapters of this book that I had to walk away from because they were so slow, overall very good! Within the first couple chapters I started to feel the excitement of going between Leo and Naomi and really seeing the two different sides of this Europa Project. Also, the project in general made me really contemplate and think about our world now and h ...more
