Matchmaking for Beginners Reviews
A joyous book!
Wonderful cast of characters and family of the heart. I think every misfit struggles a little bit like Marnie's character does. But like the pin I bought in college many years ago says, "Why be normal?". Sometimes it's just not in your DNA.
You'll laugh and cry at the same time!
It's one of the best books I've read in a really, really long time. The people and their lives make you laugh, cry, and want more! It's a must, must, must read!!!
Sweet and feel-good. Perfect after a rough week when you don’t want the world you live in.
Great book to lift your spirit
Loved, loved, loved the characters in this book. Great light read that will put a smile on your face. My sister lived in Park Slope, in a brownstone, and I enjoyed picturing the rooms. A warm and fuzzy read.
Everyone Needs a Blix in Their Life
I read hundreds of books a year and I have to say this is one of the best, most wonderful books I have read in a very long time. I feel like I know the characters and it makes me want to go to find Marnie at her flower shop and just hug her. And Blix...I hope their is. Blix in everyone’s life. Thank you for bringing her to life.
MATCHMAKING FOR BEGINNERS walked straight into my heart, trailing a shower of golden sparkles. Dawson has created a magical world inhabited by characters so engaging and real it seems plausible they might drop by for a cup of coffee. By turns funny, wise, and poignant, this is a story about falling in love—with the painful, messy, joyful business of living.
This surprises me as an not a big fan of simple romance. This story has a wonderful texture to it and I highly recommend it. It's short, but complete. The best KIndle first read for me so far.
I liked this book. It was a cute, quick read. I liked Blix although I would have liked to hear more about her. Marnie got on my nerves at times, especially when Noah continually came into the house to take things. After the first time, what idiot doesn't change the locks? The man came in the house, uninvited, to take things, four times!
