Great story highlighting one of the many aspects of Asperger’s Syndrome within a page turning mystery/thriller. Lots of intrigue, twists & turns and lots of very bad people. I lied the sensitivity the writer exhibits for “special”people. The techniques one of the main characters employes to help a person with Asperger’s is believable and leads to some significant communication breakthroughs
The scientific discovery made by one of the main characters is very believable

A wonderful tale of a doctor and her patient and the secret intrigue around them.
The author has a gift of insight into the probable but unprovable intrigue that surrounds us all. In addition, the author has in depth knowledge of autistic people and how best to interact with them. Especially high functioning autistic ones. The understanding helps to round the sharp corners on the interesting premise of the book.
I think you might enjoy it as much as I did. Or at least I sincerely hope so.
I thoroughly enjoyed THE SPEED OF SOUND for a number of reasons but foremost among them is the fact that it is competently written. What a relief to just be able to read a book without the typical bumps and pops of awkward sentence structures, wrong grammar, misspellings, strange paragraph breaks, unnatural dialogue exchanges, confused action scenes, and on and on and on in the litany of what we all have learned to put up with in this brave new world of quick publishing and lack of care. Truly awesome read!!
I really enjoyed reading this book! It brought to life the things that people with autism deal with on a daily basis, and a sneak peak into their perspectives about things that we take for granted. Except for the one thing that every human being expects and deserves, trust.
Surrounding the main character, Eddie, who has Ausburgers syndrome, there takes place various government, agency and personal agendas and conspiracies that make this fast paced novel one where you are root ...more

The Premise Was What Led Me to Read This Book
Always enjoy a clock-and-dagger suspenseful story. The fact that Eddie was special added to the story. The dialogue between Eddie and Skyler was realistic and brought humor into the tension of so many people making power moves to control the outcome of Eddie's desire to hear his mother sing.
Loved the concept. Characters were well-developed. Pace was quick and absorbing. Excellent choice for this month. Can't wait areas more from this author.
