Deliverance (Hell Divers #3) Reviews
To say that I have been anxiously awaiting this book release would be an understatement. The wait between books two and three seemed to just drag on. The wait, however, was well worth it as this entry in the Hell Divers series exceeded every expectation I had.
As is the usual, the action scenes in this book were well thought out and kept me hooked. The storylines taking place throughout the story were split up enough to keep me wanting more. That is not to say I wasn’t cursing when the story wou ...more
A brilliant conclusion to the series. There was a lot to wrap up, but this book did it: numerous threads, characters, and important locations. In the end, things were not only tied up but tied together in a way that was very satisfying for anyone anxiously awaiting the release of book #3.
Life in the sky aboard the airship Hive has gotten increasingly worse since the story of the Hell Divers left off in the last installment. Food rations have been cut back to critically low levels, water is scarce, the occupants both below decks and on the upper decks are showing more signs of radiation cancer, brawls and mutiny schemes are increasing, and if that isn’t bad enough, the Hive’s newest leader Captain Jordan appears to have become insane. Many devious schemes and murderous plots are ...more
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased the ebook from Amazon.
This third book in the series, was another non-stop action adventure thrill ride. Excellent writing provided vivid descriptions of the landscape and the characters. The story was a page turner with rich subplots that were woven together to make one fantastic read. This is one of my favorite series in the genre and this installment is the best yet! Do not miss out on this one!
THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES BY FAR!!!!!!
A MUST READ BOOK TO ONE GREAT SERIES, KEEP THE KLEENEX HANDY PLEASE!!!!
What an awesome, awesome book. This is for sure one book and series I would recommend to everyone. Without giving anything away, as pretty much anything said would do that, I'll try my best to explain why it's a must read. With Michael (Tin), Layla, Rodger Doger, Magnolia, Captain Jordan, Katrina & X (Xavier) many things are all happening in this continuation of the series. Some mak ...more
It is easy to be concerned that sequels to a great book may pale in comparison. Thankfully the third He’ll Divers book is just as good as the first two. While all three have the same characters and world, each book is different from each other in its action and focus. I found this book to be a joy to read. To me this author puts in the work to ensure everything is as good as it can be. The multiple characters feel real and are all flawed and I love them because of it. No character is ever boring ...more
I’ve been a little bit off of "the series" for a while now. I like getting into a story, and when it’s done, moving on to the next. But there is something about the characters that Smith has created that pulled me back in for another dive to Hell.
What I love most about this series is that the story hasn’t gotten at all repetitive. Smith has kept it fresh and exciting with a Martinesque rotation of characters and new villains with each new book. The impetus moving the story forward keep ...more
Having found out the truth about X, Michael sets off with his team, in the new ship, to find him. Both of them were abandoned by Captain Jordan and both are struggling to survive the new world they find themselves in. Can they come together before it's too late?
Wow! This book!!! Here's me thinking this series can't get any better, but yet again I'm proved wrong. This was..... I can't even form coherent words to express my thoughts!! Brilliant, exciting, intense, action packed, heart pounding, he ...more
