Fighting for Everything was a fantastic start to the Warrior Fight Club and a really good introduction to these characters. The main focus of this story was on Noah but it leads us to the other member of the Club that will soon get their own story.
For the romance in this book, it was kind of in the background and pretty light. At first I was honestly a little disappointed that the romance part of Noah and Kristina's story wasn't the main thing focused on, but I soo ...more

If you've ever read anything by Laura Kaye, you know her stories pack a hell of a punch. But you don't usually feel it right out of the gate. One of the first things we learn about Noah Cortez is that he's partially blind and partially deaf from an IED overseas, where he lost most of the Marine unit he'd been fighting alongside.
This is a friends-to-lovers romance, and Noah and K ...more
Oh wow, Laura Kaye does tortured heroes unlike any other - prepare to have your heartstrings tugged with Fighting for Everything.
Our tortured hero in question is Noah Cortez, ex-marine who has been medically discharged, costing him part of his sight, part of his hearing and more than a little of his sanity. It is the mental health issues that Noah truly has problems coming to terms with. Take it from someone who has issues with anxiety and depression, it really is something that you have to conv ...more

Fighting For Everything by Laura Kaye is a novel about dealing with PTSD. Noah's story is heartbreaking and emotional. If PTSD is a trigger for you, go into this novel prepared.
Noah Cortez had a good life. He had a best friend that would do anything for him, he had a family that loved him unconditionally, and he had a job that took sacrifice and bravery. That is until it all ended with an IED explosion. Now Noah is home after being medically discharged and diagnosed with a Traumatic Bra ...more
Laura Kaye seems to have the patent for tortured alpha males - ones who have earned their scars fighting for their country but, one way or another, have not gotten the help they so desperately need, which leaves them finding outlets on their own terms, which either heal their wounds or send them spiraling even further.
Kaye’s newest hero, Noah Cortez, valiantly fought for his country, but now he has an even bigger fight on his hands - his own demons, and unless he admits his issues and seeks hel ...more
“I will always take care of you.”
Laura Kaye is one of those authors that end up surprising you at every single turn! I have no idea why I’m continually surprised by her stories. I know she’s an amazing writer and I adore all of her characters and all of her books, but when I crack open a new one by her, I’m floored by the emotional impact that is has on me. I think that’s a sign of an amazing author because no matter how much I know her writing and her style, she still has the ability to knock ...more
