Fun read. Plots and characters are not very complex.

    First paragraphs

The houseboat rocked. Benny popped up from his nap. Peering out the window, he saw a speedboat breaking the “no wake” rule. Benny wondered where the boat might be coming from in such haste. Great read!

This was a great read! There were a lot of people who could have been the bad guys, but there was a great twist to it. Fast reading which made it really enjoyable. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves to read.

Not the final book??? Please NOOOO!!!!

I just love the eclectic characters that turn up in this book. Red, Ned, the Chief, Uncle Karl and of course Benny and Rachel keep me turning the pages.

The homicides and crime scenes are interesting enough without too much gory detail.

Please Mr. Deas, keep the series going.

The characters are the best part of this book, because they’re fully realized people who have unusual idiosyncrasies . . . or perhaps peculiarities is a better word.

Due to several oddball characters, there are funny, feel-good side plots. Of course, as in most mysteries, there i

    Phoney murder mystery

It was all so improbable it probably happened ...in someones imagination anyway. Does stuff like this really happen? Not likely
